DDAVP is a synthetic analog of vasopressin used to treat conditions such as diabetes insipidus and nocturnal enuresis. It is available as an oral tablet and is a prescription medication. Patients are advised to monitor fluid intake, as excessive fluid consumption may lead to water retention and hyponatremia. Also, DDAVP should not be used in patients with known hypersensitivity to desmopressin or any of its components.
