Zyvox (linezolid) is an antibiotic belonging to the oxazolidinone class, used to treat certain serious bacterial infections, including pneumonia and skin infections caused by Gram-positive bacteria. It is available as an oral tablet and an injection, and is only available by prescription. Patients are advised to be cautious of potential side effects, including serotonin syndrome, especially when taken with certain medications, and should not use Zyvox if they have a history of hypersensitivity to linezolid or any of its components.

What should I do if I miss a dose?
If you miss a dose of Zyvox (linezolid), take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Can I take Zyvox while pregnant or breastfeeding?
The use of Zyvox during pregnancy should be discussed with your healthcare provider, as there are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women. It is not known if linezolid is excreted in human milk, so breastfeeding while taking Zyvox is not recommended unless advised by your healthcare provider. How should I store Zyvox?
