Cozaar

Cozaar is an angiotensin II receptor antagonist used to treat high blood pressure and to reduce the risk of stroke in patients with hypertension and left ventricular hypertrophy. It is taken as an oral tablet and is available by prescription only. Patients are advised to monitor for signs of low blood pressure and should not use Cozaar if they are pregnant, as it may cause harm to the fetus.

What should I do if I miss a dose?
If you miss a dose of Cozaar (losartan), take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular schedule. Can I stop taking Cozaar suddenly?
The label advises against abrupt discontinuation of Cozaar without consulting your prescriber. Stopping suddenly may lead to a return of the condition being treated. Always discuss any changes in your medication regimen with your healthcare provider.
Can I take Cozaar while pregnant or breastfeeding?
Cozaar is not recommended during pregnancy, especially in the second and third trimesters, as it can harm the fetus. If you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant, inform your healthcare provider. It is not known if losartan passes into breast milk, so consult your doctor if you are breastfeeding.
How should I store Cozaar?
